The Banking Code of Practice means the Banking Code of Practice published on 12 December 2019 by the Australian Banking Association.
The design and distribution obligations have been inserted into the Corporations Act by Schedule 1 to the Treasury Laws Amendment (Design and Distribution Obligations and Product Intervention Powers) Act 2019 and take effect in October 2021.
For simplicity, trustees of registerable superannuation entities are referred to as 'superannuation trustees' throughout this Chapter.
Note: this chapter uses the terms 'RSE licence' and 'RSE licensee', as defined in the SIS Act. RSE is an abbreviation used in that Act for 'registrable superannuation entity'.
