6   Accessory after the fact

Any person who receives or assists another person, who has, to his or her knowledge, committed any offence against a law of the Commonwealth, in order to enable him or her to escape punishment or to dispose of the proceeds of the offence commits an offence.

Penalty: Imprisonment for 2 years.

S 6 amended by No 4 of 2016, s 3 and Sch 4 items 343 and 344, by substituting " who has, to his or her knowledge, committed " for " who is, to his or her knowledge, guilty of " and " commits " for " shall be guilty of " , effective 10 March 2016.
