SECTION 90B  

90B   False statements in documents filed etc. under laws of a Territory

A person who:

(a) in a document that, under a law of a Territory, is, or is required to be, produced or furnished to, or filed or lodged with, a Commonwealth officer; or

(b) in a document that is required to be registered under, or to be prepared for the purposes of, a law of a Territory;

intentionally makes a statement that the person knows is false commits an offence.

Penalty: Imprisonment for 2 years.

S 90B amended by No 4 of 2016, s 3 and Sch 4 item 354, by substituting " commits " for " shall be guilty of " , effective 10 March 2016.

S 90B amended by No 24 of 2001, s 3 and Sch 10 item 144, by substituting " intentionally makes a statement that the person knows is false " for " knowingly makes a false statement " . For application provisions, see note under s 3BA.
