Petroleum (Timor Sea Treaty) Act 2003
Note: This is the copy of the Treaty referred to in the definition of Treaty in subsection 5(1) of this Act.
ARTICLE 22 Duration of the TreatyThis Treaty shall be in force until there is a permanent seabed delimitation between Australia and East Timor or for thirty years from the date of its entry into force, whichever is sooner. This Treaty may be renewed by agreement between Australia and East Timor. Petroleum activities of limited liability corporations or other limited liability entities entered into under the terms of the Treaty shall continue even if the Treaty is no longer in force under conditions equivalent to those in place under the Treaty.
