Division 179 - Protection of personal information  

SECTION 179-30   Oath or affirmation to protect information  

179-30(1)    
An *officer must, if and when required by the *Secretary or the *Commissioner to do so, make an oath or affirmation to protect information in accordance with this Division.

S 179-30(1) amended by No 6 of 2012, s 3 and Sch 1 item 10, by substituting " Division " for " Part " , applicable in relation to information whether it was obtained or created before, on or after 7 March 2012.

179-30(2)    
The *Secretary may determine, in writing:

(a) the form of the oath or affirmation that the Secretary will require; and

(b) the manner in which the oath or affirmation must be made.

179-30(3)    
The *Commissioner may determine, in writing:

(a) the form of the oath or affirmation that the Commissioner will require; and

(b) the manner in which the oath or affirmation must be made.
