Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006
The Registrar may appoint one or more Deputy Registrars of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporations for the purpose of assisting the Registrar in carrying out his or her functions and powers.

The Deputy Registrars are to be persons engaged under the Public Service Act 1999 .

A Deputy Registrar holds office for such period of up to 5 years that is specified in the instrument of appointment.
