PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE (TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS AND CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS) ACT 2007
An organisation that was a registered organization immediately before the commencement time is taken, for the purposes of the new Act, to be a private health insurer.
(2)
However, subsection (1) ceases to apply to the organisation:
(a) if the organisation is registered under Part 4-3 of the new Act; or
(b) on 1 July 2008;
whichever happens first.
(3)
To avoid doubt, section 126-45 of the new Act applies to the organisation in the same way as it applies to a body that is registered under Part 4-3 of the new Act.
