What you can do with this calculator
From 1 July 2019, the tax offset for net medical expenses for disability aids, attendant care or aged care is no longer available.
The 2018–19 income year is the final year you can claim this offset.
You can still use this calculator to work out the amount of your total net medical expenses to enter on your tax return for the 2015–16 to 2018–19 income years. It will also estimate your entitlement amount for the offset.
You can only claim this offset if you had expenses that relate to disability aids, attendant care or aged care.
This tax offset is income tested. The percentage of net expenses you can claim is determined by your adjusted taxable income (ATI) and family status.
If you have a spouse, enter the combined adjusted taxable income for you and your spouse.
