UPIP, formerly known as the University Partnership Employment Program (UPEP) gives you hands-on, paid work experience aligned with what you're studying at university. Dive into challenging work while enjoying a casual position with flexible hours.

During the program, you'll explore various career opportunities at the ATO. You can also apply for ongoing positions like our Graduate Program. The decision is yours. Whichever path you take, there are endless possibilities.

Who can apply

To be eligible for this program you must meet all the following criteria:

• be an Australian citizen
• be studying a bachelor's degree or above
• have at least 6 months, but no more than 24 months remaining in your study from the intake date
• have a GPA of a pass or above
• be actively studying a full-time or part-time study load.

Applying

Applications for UPIP are open all year:

• There are 3 intakes per year (February, July, November).
• Eligible applications will remain valid for 12 months.
• There are opportunities available at locations across the country.
