We need it to update the details of a multiple entry consolidated (MEC) group. If we don't collect the information, you will need to amend your tax cost setting amounts for the year in which the error occurred.
We are authorised by the Taxation Administration Act 1953 to ask for tax file numbers (TFNs). You are not required by law to provide us with a TFN, however, failure to provide a TFN may result in a delay in processing this notification.
We collect some personal information about you because you signed the form. That information will enable us to ensure that you are the person with the authority within the company to complete the form. It will also allow us to contact you if we need further information.
