The file transfer test facility lets you test the structure of your SERR report using non-production (dummy) data. It performs a validation check against the XML schema and generates a report identifying any errors or issues.

This helps ensure your report is ready for submission via ATO Online Services.

File transfer via ATO Online services

The ATO’s Online Services includes a File Transfer testing feature that enables EDP operators or intermediaries to test and lodge reports using real client data in a secure environment.

The system validates the report against the XML schema and generates a detailed report highlighting any errors or issues identified.

Note: The 'Test' option is intended solely for testing purposes. If the validation is successful, you must use the 'Lodge' option to formally submit the report.
