Question 12 – Have the entity's petroleum project or combined petroleum project details changed since it last notified the ATO?
At question 12, indicate whether the entity’s petroleum project or combined petroleum project details have changed since it last notified the ATO by placing an X in the appropriate box.
If you answer 'No' at question 12 and you've provided a PRRT registration number at question 5, go to section C.
If you answer 'No' at question 12 and did not provide a PRRT registration number at question 5:
- go to question 14 and provide the current project details, or
- leave question 14 blank and complete and attach an Application to register for petroleum resource rent tax (PRRT) (NAT 9847) to this PRRT return.
If you answered ‘Yes’ at question 12, you must complete questions 13 and 14.
Question 13 – Previous project details
At question 13, provide the previous name of the project, as notified to the ATO.
Place an X in the box next to the applicable previous project reference number type and provide the relevant project reference number for the previous project details. If the previous interest was in:
- an exploration permit – place an X in the ‘Exploration permit’ box and provide the exploration permit number
- a retention lease – place an X in the ‘Retention lease’ box and provide the retention lease number
- a production licence – place an X in the ‘Production licence’ box and provide the production licence number. If the project is an interest in the Bass Strait project, leave the 'Licence number' box blank
- a combined project with combination certificate – place an X in the ‘Combined project’ box and provide the combination certificate number.
If there is no combination certificate number on the combination certificate, provide the first production licence number listed on the combination certificate.
If the project has undergone more than one change since the entity last notified the ATO, provide all applicable previous project reference numbers.
Question 14 – Current project details
At question 14, provide the current project name and place an X in the appropriate box to indicate whether the current project has a production licence or is a combined project. Then provide details as specified below, including any additional production licence details.
Production licence
If the project has a production licence, provide the production licence number and date of issue and then go to section C.
If the project is an interest in the Bass Strait project, leave the production licence number and date of issue boxes blank. Go to 'Additional production licence details' and provide all relevant production licence details.
Combined project
If the project is a combined project, provide the combination certificate number and date of issue.
If there is no combination certificate number on the combination certificate, provide the first production licence number listed on the combination certificate and the date of issue of that production licence.
If the entity previously notified the ATO of the combined project details, including relevant production licence numbers, and these details have not changed, go to section C.
If the entity has not previously notified the ATO of the combined project details, or these details have changed since the entity last notified the ATO, go to 'Additional production licence details'.
Additional production licence details
If the entity has obtained a combination certificate since it last notified the ATO of the project details, provide the production licence numbers for the combined project. Provide the date of issue of each production licence, and place an X in the 'Added' box next to each production licence number.
If the project is an interest in the Bass Strait project or it was already a combined project when the entity last notified the ATO, but production licences have either been added or surrendered, provide the details of the changes. Provide the relevant production licence number, date of issue and whether the production licence was added or surrendered by placing an X in the appropriate box.
Provide the entity’s entitlement to petroleum from the project as a percentage rounded to two decimal places. If the entitlement cannot accurately be described as a percentage, provide details in the free-text field.
If there are more than five production licences to list, attach a separate sheet of paper providing details of all other production licences.
- Title each page 'Current project details: additional production licences' and provide the ABN and legal name of the entity as it appears at questions 1 and 3.
- Provide the production licence number, the date of issue of the respective production licence and whether the licence was added or surrendered.
