SECTION 127   AUTHORISATION TO USE INFORMATION FOR PURPOSES OF PROCEEDINGS  

127(1)    
A person who obtains protected information may disclose the information to a court or tribunal, or in accordance with an order of a court or tribunal, (whether within or outside Australia) for the purposes of proceedings if:


(a) the Commonwealth is a party to the proceedings; and


(b) the Treasurer is satisfied that it is not contrary to the national interest.

Note: A person must not be required to provide information to a court or tribunal (see section 130 ).


127(2)    
A person who obtains protected information under, or in accordance with, subsection (1) may make a record of, or disclose or otherwise use, the information for the purposes for which the information was disclosed under that subsection.
