SECTION 30-285 Removal from the register  
30-285(1)
The Minister and the *Environment Minister may direct the *Environment Secretary to remove an ^* environmental organisation, and the public fund it maintains, from the register.

S 30-285(1) amended by No 110 of 2014, s 3 and Sch 5 item 22, by substituting " Minister " for " Treasurer " , effective 16 October 2014. For transitional provisions see note under s 30-80(1) .

S 30-285(1) amended by No 143 of 2007 , s 3 and Sch 7 items 31 and 32, by substituting " *Environment Minister " for " Minister for Environment, Sport and Territories " and substituting " *Environment Secretary " for " Secretary to the Department of the Environment, Sport and Territories " , effective 24 September 2007.

Note: The change was made despite the amendment in No 143 of 2007 reading " Department of the Environment " instead of " Department of Environment " , which appeared in s 30-285(1). This has now been corrected by No 97 of 2008 , Sch 3 item 69, effective 3 October 2008.

The direction must be in writing and must specify the day on which the organisation and public fund are to be removed from the register. The day must be the day on which the direction is given or a later day.
