PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE (TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS AND CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS) ACT 2007

PART 7 - MISCELLANEOUS  

SECTION 55   PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE (TRANSITION) RULES  

(1)    
The Minister may, by legislative instrument, make Private Health Insurance (Transition) Rules, providing for matters:


(a) required or permitted by this Act to be provided; or


(b) necessary or convenient to be provided for carrying out or giving effect to this Act.

(2)    
In particular, Rules made under subsection (1) may be made providing for matters of a transitional nature (including providing any saving or application provisions) relating to the amendments or repeals made by this Act or to the transition from the provisions of the National Health Act 1953 repealed by this Act to the Private Health Insurance Act 2007 .
