Business Names Registration Act 2011
ASIC may disclose information to the Registrar of the Australian Business Register for the purposes of: (a) identifying business names registered to an entity on the Business Names Register; and (b) ensuring consistency between that Australian Business Register and the Business Names Register in details registered on those registers.

ASIC may record and use information disclosed to ASIC by the Registrar of the Australian Business Register for the purposes of ensuring consistency between the Australian Business Register and the Business Names Register in details registered on those registers.
