3   Subsection 4(1) (definition of Officer)

Repeal the definition, substitute:

officer means:

(a) a person appointed as an officer of the Navy, Army or Air Force and who holds a rank specified in items 1 to 12 of the table in subclause 1(1) of Schedule 1; or

(b) a chaplain in the Defence Force.
