SECTION 97
COMMISSIONER MAY DISCLOSE VET INFORMATION
97(1)
The Commissioner may disclose VET information to a Commonwealth officer or an officer of a Tertiary Admission Centre if the Commissioner believes on reasonable grounds that the disclosure will enable or assist the officer to exercise powers, or perform functions or duties in relation to this Act.
97(2)
Subsection (1) has effect despite anything in an Act of which the Commissioner has the general administration.
97(3)
Despite subsection 13.3(3) of the Criminal Code , in a prosecution for an offence against an Act of which the Commissioner has the general administration, the defendant does not bear an evidential burden in relation to whether this section applies to a disclosure of personal information.
