499   At the end of section 22

Add:

Veteran payment

(8) If:

(a) a person begins to receive a veteran payment on a day; and

(b) on the day before that day the person was receiving another income support payment at a rate greater than nil and energy supplement was used to work out that rate;

then, for the purposes of this section, paragraph (1)(a) is taken to apply to the person on each day that the person is receiving that veteran payment.
