SECTION 156   DUTY OF TRIBUNAL IN RELATION TO SECURITY AND LAW ENFORCEMENT INFORMATION  
When this section applies

156(1)    
This section applies in relation to a proceeding in the Intelligence and Security jurisdictional area.

Duty to protect security and law enforcement information

156(2)    
It is the duty of the Tribunal, even though there may be no relevant certificate under this or any other Act, to ensure, so far as possible, that information is not communicated or made available to a person if that communication or availability would prejudice:

(a)    the security, defence or international relations of the Commonwealth; or

(b)    law enforcement interests.
