Division 4 - Appointment  

SECTION 260   RESIGNATION  

260(1)    
An appointed member may resign the appointed member ' s appointment by giving the Governor-General a written resignation.

260(2)    
The Chair of the Council may resign the Chair ' s appointment as the Chair without resigning the Chair ' s appointment as a Council member by giving the Governor-General a written resignation.

260(3)    
The resignation takes effect on the day it is received by the Governor-General or, if a later day is specified in the resignation, on that later day.
