Public interest certificates
93(1)
The Attorney-General of the Commonwealth or of a State, the Australian Capital Territory or the Northern Territory is a party to a proceeding in the Tribunal if: (a) that Attorney-General gives a certificate under section 91 in relation to the proceeding; and (b) the certificate does not specify a reason set out in paragraph 91(1)(a) or (b) or (2)(a) ; and (c) that Attorney-General would not otherwise be a party to the proceeding.
Attorney-General intervening
93(2)
The Attorney-General of the Commonwealth or of a State, the Australian Capital Territory or the Northern Territory is taken to be a party to a proceeding in the Tribunal if that Attorney-General: (a) informs the Tribunal under subsection 92(1) that the answering of a question at the hearing of the proceeding would be contrary to the public interest; and (b) would not otherwise be a party to the proceeding.
