International Organisations (Privileges and Immunities) Act 1963

SECTION 13   REGULATIONS  

13(1)    
The Governor-General may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Act, prescribing all matters required or permitted by this Act to be prescribed, or necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to this Act.

13(2)    


Regulations under this Act may be expressed to commence from a day specified in a written determination made by the Minister under this subsection for the purposes of the commencement of those regulations. If the purpose or object underlying those regulations is to implement an international instrument (whether or not that purpose is expressly stated in those regulations), the day must not be earlier than the day on which the instrument becomes effective for Australia.

13(3)    


Subsection (2) has effect despite anything in the Legislation Act 2003 .

A determination under subsection (2) is a legislative instrument.
