SECTION 70   Information Commissioner investigations - making complaints  

70(1)    
A person (the complainant ) may complain to the Information Commissioner about an action taken by an agency in the performance of functions, or the exercise of powers, under this Act.

70(2)    
A complaint must:


(a) be in writing; and


(b) identify the agency (also the respondent agency ) in respect of which the complaint is made.

70(3)    
The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner must provide appropriate assistance to a person who:


(a) wishes to make a complaint; and


(b) requires assistance to formulate the complaint.
