Customs Act 1901
A medical practitioner may take such measures in relation to a detainee, including removal to another place, as the medical practitioner considers necessary because the detainee's life is at risk, including measures involving surgical incision or exploration.
While the detainee is being so removed to a place, and while he or she is at that place:
(a) he or she may be detained under this subsection; and
(b) time is not to be taken to run under an order made under Subdivision C.
