History
Div 4 inserted by No 55 of 2016, s 3 and Sch 13 item 16, applicable in relation to:
(a) a debt that arises on or after 1 January 2017; and
(b) a debt that arose before 1 January 2017, to the extent that the debt was outstanding immediately before 1 January 2017.

SECTION 43K
OPERATION OF DEPARTURE PROHIBITION ORDER
43K(1)
A departure prohibition order comes into force when it is made, and continues in force until it is revoked, or until it is set aside by a court.

However, a departure prohibition order in respect of a person is not in force during any period when a deportation order in respect of the person is in force under the
Migration Act 1958
.
