Division 3 - Conducting examinations  

SECTION 194   Protection of approved examiner etc.  

194(1)    
The * approved examiner has, in the performance of his or her duties as an approved examiner, the same protection and immunity as a Justice of the High Court.

194(2)    
A * lawyer appearing at the * examination:


(a) on behalf of the person being examined; or


(b) as or on behalf of the *responsible authority;

has the same protection and immunity as a barrister has in appearing for a party in proceedings in the High Court.


194(3)    
Subject to this Act, the person being * examined:


(a) has the same protection; and


(b) in addition to the penalties provided by this Act, is subject to the same liabilities;

as a witness in proceedings in the High Court.
