SECTION 237   Restrictions on personal searches  

237(1)    
A * search warrant cannot authorise a * strip search or a search of a person's body cavities.

237(2)    
If a * search warrant authorises an * ordinary search or a * frisk search of a person:

(a) a different search from the one authorised must not be done under the warrant; and

(b) the search must, if practicable, be conducted by a person of the same sex as the person being searched.

237(3)    
A person who is not an * authorised officer but who has been authorised by the relevant * executing officer to assist in executing a * search warrant must not take part in searching a person.
