Corruption and bribery of Commonwealth officers

A
Commonwealth officer who asks for or receives or obtains, or offers or agrees
to ask for or receive or obtain, any property or benefit of any kind for himself
or any other person, on an understanding that the exercise by him of his duty
or authority as a Commonwealth officer will, in any manner, be influenced
or affected, is guilty of an offence.
(3)
A
person who, in order to influence or affect a Commonwealth officer in the
exercise of his duty or authority as a Commonwealth officer, gives or confers,
or promises or offers to give or confer, any property or benefit of any kind
to or on the Commonwealth officer or any other person is guilty of an offence.
Penalty:
Imprisonment for 2 years.
