SECTION 335 GOVERNMENT POLICY STATEMENTS
335(1)
Minister may prepare statement
The Minister may prepare a written statement of the policy of the Commonwealth Government in relation to the administration of this Act and give a copy of the statement to:
(a)
the Secretary; and
(c)
the Principal Member.

335(2)
Copy to be laid before Parliament
If the Minister prepares a statement under subsection (1), the Minister must cause a copy of the statement to be laid before each House of the Parliament within 15 sitting days of that House after the Minister first gives a copy of the statement to a person under that subsection.
335(3)
Officers to have regard to statement
In exercising powers under this Act, an officer must have regard to any statement a copy of which has been given to the Secretary.
335(4)
Principal Member and Tribunal to have regard to statement
In exercising powers under this Act, the Principal Member and the Social Security Appeals Tribunal must have regard to any statement a copy of which has been given to the Principal Member under subsection (1).
