22(1)
This item applies to a member if the member was covered by subsection 8(1) or (2) of the
Administrative Appeals Tribunal Act 1975
immediately before the commencement of this item.
22(2)
Despite the repeal of subsections 8(1) and (2) of the
Administrative Appeals Tribunal Act 1975
by this Schedule, those subsections continue to apply after the commencement of this item, in relation to the member's appointment, as if those repeals had not happened.

8(3)
Subject to this Part, a member holds office for such period of at most 7 years as is specified in the instrument of appointment, but is eligible for re-appointment.

A member who is a Judge ceases to hold office as a member if he or she ceases to be a Judge.
