SECTION 49 IDENTITY CARDS
49(1)
The Commissioner must issue an identity card to a person who is an authorised officer for the purposes of section
48
.
49(2)
The identity card must be in the form prescribed by the regulations.
49(3)
The identity card must contain a recent photograph of the authorised officer.
49(4)
A person commits an offence if:
(a)
the person has been issued with an identity card under subsection (1); and
(b)
the person ceases to be an authorised officer for the purposes of section
48
; and
(c)
the person does not immediately return the identity card to the Commissioner.
Maximum penalty: 1 penalty unit.
