1   Name

This is theCorporations Amendment (Emissions Reduction Fund Participants) Regulation 2015.

2   Commencement

This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

3   Authority

This instrument is made under theCorporations Act 2001.

4   Schedules

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1   Amendments

1   Subregulation 1.0.02(1)

Insert:

carbon abatement contract has the same meaning as in theCarbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Act 2011.

2   At the end of subregulation 7.1.04(8)

Add:

; (c) a carbon abatement contract.

Note: For carbon abatement contract , see subregulation 1.0.02(1).

3   After regulation 7.1.07I

Insert:

7.1.07J Specific things that are not financial products - carbon abatement

For paragraph 765A(1)(y) of the Act, a carbon abatement contract is declared not to be a financial product.
